Sierra maintains registration with professional organizations like the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), which ensures stringent quality management and production standards to manufacturers.
As part of our ISO 9001:2015 Certification, Sierra operates with respect to the following guiding principles.
To be a trusted technology and value leader in the specialty performance coatings industry.
The industry’s most valued problem solver for specialty performance coatings; we are nimble and responsive to our customers’ needs and provide an excellent experience with superior technical expertise.
Sierra’s strategic plan is to become a leading coatings supplier by providing quality products to meet our customers’ requirements. This is accomplished by listening and responding to our customers’ needs and by continuously improving our products and services.
What are the benefits of ISO standards, and what does this mean for you?
The International Organization of Standardization (ISO) is an independent, non-governmental organization dedicated to the sharing of knowledge and the voluntary development of “…relevant International Standards that support innovation and provide solutions to global challenges.”
ISO states that its standards “…ensure that products and services are safe, reliable and of good quality. For business, they are strategic tools that reduce costs by minimizing waste and errors and increasing productivity.”
Our participation in the ISO program requires that our entire manufacturing processes, and the resulting products of these processes, be continually monitored and analyzed for efficiency, accuracy and quality control. Because every aspect of our production – from research and development to storage and shipping – are continually being assessed, you can rest assured that every product passing through our doors is produced with stringent quality, consistency and is manufactured for optimal performance.
